Leen Paape

Professor Corporate Governance | Nyenrode Business University

Leen started his career at the Royal Military Academy in Breda. During his military career he became a chartered accountant and then briefly practiced that profession at KPMG. Successively, he worked for KLM, became a partner at PwC and joined the board of Nyenrode. After having managed Nyenrode for almost 10 years, he is now professor of Corporate Governance and Academic Director of the Board & Governance programs, including the successful supervisory board program. In addition, he is active as a supervisor at various organizations such as Univé Dichtbij, SNS Reaal Pensioenfonds, Stichting BOOR, ABP, and the IMF in Washington.

He is a much sought-after speaker and recently wrote the book 'Exit Fantoomtrots' together with Leo van de Voort. Leen has a few hobbies. He plays golf, reads a lot, boxes, and likes to cook.
